Are you looking for better dust management practices for roads and open areas?  If so, plan on joing us for the 2008 Road Dust Management Practices and Future Needs Conference.  Expect to discuss current practices and define future needs and research priorities as you become part of the solution.

The main themes include:
--Overview of road dust and adjacent area management issues
--Current road dust management practices
--Idenifying knowledge gaps and research needs
--Developing recommendations for future needs that will assist practioners, industry personnel and researchers by highlighting critical ideas and areas of focus.

Conference Site

San Antonio, Texas, Holiday Inn El Tropicano Riverwalk
Located at the intersection of Lexington and North St. Mary's on San Antonio's famous Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk), the El Tropicano is accessible by foot, trolley and river barge.  Approximately 8 miles from the San Antonio International Airport,  Shuttles and taxis provide transportation to and from the airport for a nominal fee.  Trolleys to downtown attractions leave approximately every ten minutes just outside the hotel.  Enjoy the San Antonio River by river barge leaving the hotel approximately every 40 minutes.

Lodging Information

A limited number of rooms have been reserved for this event at the Holiday Inn El Tropicano Riverwalk.  Prices are $112.00 per night plus tax, single or double occupancy (subject to prevailing government per diem).  Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations and can do so by contacting the Holiday Inn directly at (866) 293-1842 or via email at reservations@eltropicanohotel.com - please ask for the Dust Management Conference to ensure you receive the reduced rate.  Room reservations must be made by Monday, October 13, 2008.  Reservations made after this date will be subject to availability and the prevailing room rate.
