Western Transportation Institute

The Western Transportation Institute (WTI) conducts research in eight main program focus areas: safety and operations, winter maintenance and effects, road ecology, infrastructure maintenance and materials, systems engineering development and integration, mobility and public transportation, logistics and freight management, and transportation planning and economics. In each of these areas, WTI has directed its resources to create areas of excellence with a multidisciplinary focus that will produce high-quality research and lead to a demonstration of solutions, and to invest in research laboratories that will help us meet our mission.
