Laboratories Overview


Program Overview

WTI has developed laboratories to support research activities in its research areas. 
Driver Simulation/Human Factors Lab– partial vehicle cabin driving simulator, full size simulator with full motion platform planned
Transportation Research Analysis and Instrumentation Laboratory - equipped to test and evaluate traffic management systems (e.g., sensors, cameras, data acquisition systems, software, etc.)
Corrosion and Electrochemical Laboratory– equipped to research corrosion and materials integrity issues in cold regions
Geosynthetic Materials Laboratory– specialized equipment to determine the properties and insitu behavior of geosynthetic reinforced soil systems
Lewistown Cold Region Rural Transportation Testbed – large, cold climate field facility offering the opportunity to perform off-system testing, field evaluation, etc. under full scale on-system operating conditions
